About the Authors / Autorinnen und AutorenManuela Farinosi is a post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Human Sciences at theUniversity of Udine (Italy). She received a PhD in Multimedia Communication in 2010.Her main research interests are focused on social and cultural aspects of new technologies,and in particular on social media and their impact on public and private spheres.Leopoldina Fortunati is chair of the PhD Program in Multimedia Communication at theUniversity of Udine where she teaches Sociology of Communication and Culture andTheories and Techniques of the New Media. She has conducted several research projectsin the field of gender studies, cultural processes and communication and information technologies.She is the Italian representative in the COST Domain Committee (ISCH, Individuals,Societies, Cultures and Health). She is associate editor of the journal The InformationSociety and serves as referee for many outstanding journals. Her works have beenpublished in eleven languages.Manfred Faßler ist Professor am Institut für Kulturanthropologie und Europäische Ethnologiean der Goethe Universität Frankfurt.
