Eachcomponent is thus subject to strictquality management andcomplies with the followinginternational railway guidelinesand standards:- General: DIN EN 50155,DIN EN 50343, NF F 61-017- Behaviour in fires: NF F 16-101,BS 6853, ASTM E 162- Shock and vibration resistance:IEC 61373/Ria 20.As the outcome of this co -operation, the modular terminalsof the Z series with a tensionclamp connection proved to bethe most effective solution forHANNING & KAHL. The tensionclamp connection delivers simpleand secure handling. The highcontact force of the tension clampsystem ensures firm attachment ofthe clamped conductor over theentire clamping range and makesthe connection resistant tovibration. The modular clampshave a top connection, i.e. theconductor is introduced and theclamp actuated from above, inparallel. This design permitstrouble-free use of the clamps ona wide range of wiring systemsand the secure fixing of theconductors in fanning strips orprofiles.Considerable advantages interms of space are provided bythe Z-Roof terminals in particularwhose striking roof shape givesthem up to 36 per cent extralength over standard modularterminals with a tension clampconnection.
