Fascinated by the concept of time and space, Keiji Kawashima has an exceptional awareness of both. Under the influence of both pure sciences
and technological change, the revolution in our way of perceiving the concepts of time and space has been so great that rethinking them, giving a
suitable definition of what they have become in our time is longer – if ever - a matter reserved solely to scientists. With his background as a pure
physicist and having decided to dedicate himself to the visual arts only later in his life, Keiji Kawashima combines in his work a great technical
precision with the capacity to generate hypnotic movements and poetic fields. The artistic confrontation of elemental physics and his main axioms
converges on scientific poetry. This poetic mechanic symbolizes the balance reached by this artist between western and eastern philosophies.
