Mucous membranes (eyes, anal, oral,
urethra, vaginal). Body fluids (blood,
saliva, sperm, urine). Syringes, straws,
pipes when using drugs.
After one-to-three weeks glassy to
opaque discharge from the penis, painful
urination, or painful swelling of the
testicles can occur.
Condoms reduce the risk of infection,
but cannot safely rule it out. Only use the
condom once.
Prescription Antibiotics.
Tested on:
GONORRHEA
Mucous membranes (eyes, anal, oral,
urethra, vaginal). Body fluids (blood,
saliva, sperm, urine). Fingers, hands, toys.
Syringes, straws, pipes when using drugs.
After two to six days: burning sensation
when urinating and purulent, foul-smelling
discharge from the urethra. Partial
pain and swelling of the testicles and
fever.
Condoms reduce the risk of infection,
but cannot safely rule it out. Only use the
condom once. Wash hands and sex toys
with soap before use.
Prescription Antibiotics.
Tested on:
HEPATITIS B
Body fluids (blood, saliva, sperm, urine).
Injured mucous membranes (eyes, anal,
oral, urethra, vaginal). Syringes, straws,
pipes when using drugs.
Four-to-six months after infection:
fatigue, muscle and joint pain, nausea,
vomiting and skin changes. Later also
inflammation of the liver with jaundice
and fever.
Vaccination. In addition, safe sex and
condoms reduce the risk of infection,
but cannot safely rule it out. Only use the
condom once.
In the acute phase, the infection can
heal itself. A chronic infection lasts for
months to years, sometimes medication
has to be taken for life.
Tested or
vaccination
received:
HEPATITIS C
Blood, less often other body fluids.
Syringes, straws, pipes when using drugs.
Also unsanitary tattooing, piercing or ear
piercing.
Three-to-six months after infection:
flu-like symptoms, yellowing of the skin.
With chronic infection: fatigue, itching,
joint complaints, inflammation of the
liver.
Safer use (only use your own injection
equipment, straws or pipes). Pay attention
to hygiene when tattooing, piercing,
ear piercing. Safe sex and condoms
reduce the risk of infection.
There is usually no treatment in the first
six months. The treatment of a chronic
infection lasts 8 to 12 weeks, with complications
also 16 to 24 weeks.
Tested on:
GENITAL
HERPES
Mucous membranes (eyes, anal, oral,
urethra, vaginal). Cough, sneeze, kiss, sex,
fingers, sex toys.
A few days to weeks after infection:
tingling, itching of the skin. Blisters that
burst into small ulcers. Swelling of the
lymph nodes, fever and feeling sick.
There is no one hundred percent effective
protection. However, the risk drops
significantly if sex is avoided during an
outbreak phase. Only use the condom
once.
Genital herpes is not curable. Repeated
painful relapses are routinely treated
with virus-inhibiting tablets.
Treated on:
HIV / AIDS
Body fluids (blood, saliva, sperm, urine).
Injured mucous membranes (eyes, anal,
oral, urethra, vaginal). Injection while
using drugs.
Two-to-four weeks after infection: fever,
fatigue or discomfort, night sweats,
diarrhea, fatigue, swelling of the tonsils
and lymph nodes, muscle pain, rash.
Condoms, PrEP and PEP (within 72 hours).
Safer use (only use your own injection
equipment, straws or pipes). Pay attention
to hygiene when tattooing, piercing,
ear piercing. Only use the condom once.
Different combinations of antiretroviral
drugs under medical supervision.
Tested on:
HPV
Mucous membranes (eyes, anal, oral,
urethra, vaginal). Kissing, fondling, petting
or having sex.
Some types of HPV can cause genital
warts (condylomas) weeks after infection.
Vaccination. In addition, safe sex and
condoms reduce the risk of infection,
but cannot safely rule it out. Only use the
condom once.
Most HPV infections heal on their own. So
far, there is no drug that can directly fight
HP viruses.

SYPHILIS
Body fluids (blood, saliva, sperm, urine).
Injured mucous membranes (eyes, anal,
oral, urethra, vaginal). Syringes, straws,
pipes when using drugs.
1st phase: ulcer formation on the penis,
vagina, anal area, mouth. Swelling of the
lymph nodes. 2nd phase: After about two
months, fever, headache and joint pain,
skin rashes can occur.
Condoms reduce the risk of infection, but
cannot rule it out. Only use the condom
once.
