1 3 m (10-foot) RS232 serial cable<br />

The <strong>Paramount</strong> ME uses serial<br />

communication for software-based<br />

mount control. This cable runs from<br />

the computer’s RS232 port to the port<br />

labeled RS232 on the <strong>Paramount</strong> ME<br />

Adaptor Panel.<br />

1 Counterweight Safety Knob.<br />

Screw this knob into the end of the<br />

Counterweight Shaft after mounting<br />

the counterweights to prevent the<br />

counterweight from accidentally falling<br />

off the shaft. See “Attaching the<br />

Counterweight Shaft” on page 18 for<br />

details.<br />
