CLAUDE JARMAN: And Shelley. (LAUGHS) Shelley was on a Sunday evening.<br />

MARGARITA LANDAZURI: She was great interview, wasn’t she?<br />

CLAUDE JARMAN: Yeah, she was.<br />

MARGARITA LANDAZURI: Tell me about Natalie Wood.<br />

CLAUDE JARMAN: She was a very fragile, nice person. I always said that she and Elizabeth Taylor<br />

were the only two actresses who ever made the great transition from a child actor, the only two out of<br />

anybody.<br />

MARGARITA LANDAZURI: I think you’re absolutely right.<br />

CLAUDE JARMAN: I mean, who were big stars. And she was a child star. In fact, I remember her from<br />

when I was at MGM and she was at RKO, and her little pigtails.<br />

MARGARITA LANDAZURI: She was a <strong>San</strong> <strong>Francisco</strong> girl, wasn’t she?<br />

CLAUDE JARMAN: She was. It was very sad when she died.<br />

MARGARITA LANDAZURI: She was very moved by her tribute, wasn’t she?<br />

CLAUDE JARMAN: Mm-hmm. There was a lot of stuff because there were a lot of films that brought<br />

back memories: Miracle on 34 th Street, Splendor In the Grass and West Side Story. It had to have<br />

some impact.<br />

MARGARITA LANDAZURI: Anything you would have done differently? Anything you regret?<br />
