the AmCham Board <strong>of</strong> Governors.<br />
With continuation <strong>of</strong> its work the Trade<br />
and Investment Committee will seek to preparing<br />
detailed improvement proposals in cooperation<br />
with other business organizations and Croatian<br />
and international institutions aiming to address<br />
those issues that we can realistically and positively<br />
change, and to assist the Government <strong>of</strong> Croatia in<br />
implementation <strong>of</strong> the needed reforms.<br />

In September 2010 AmCham held the kick<br />
<strong>of</strong>f meeting <strong>of</strong> the EU Task Force. The EU task force<br />
was formed with the goal <strong>of</strong> gathering information<br />
and providing education in relation to Croatia’s accession<br />
to the EU, focusing on the impact <strong>of</strong> EU<br />
accession, the legal and regulatory changes that<br />
accession to the EU will bring and the ability <strong>of</strong><br />
Croatian companies to apply for EU funding.<br />
Position Papers<br />
Many <strong>of</strong> our members have <strong>of</strong>ten expressed<br />
their business concerns to the Executive Office,<br />
our Committees, and the Board <strong>of</strong> Governors. Am-<br />
Cham’s Advocacy Strategy includes the opportunity<br />
(clearly defined through our policies at www.<br />
amcham.hr/committees/) for every member(s) to<br />
initiate, draft and incorporate their business issue<br />
into a formal position, which becomes the <strong>of</strong>ficial<br />
position <strong>of</strong> AmCham Croatia. Subsequently, Am-<br />
Cham would very publicly advocate for these position<br />
at all levels, including government, state insti-<br />
tutions, and the general public. Presently we have<br />
published the following position papers, which can<br />

News & Views Magazine<br />
‘News & Views’ magazine continues to<br />
be AmCham’s primary channel <strong>of</strong> communication<br />
with members and other AmChams. News &<br />
Views Magazine started as a Newsletter in 1999 on<br />
4 pages and now is published 4 times a year on 36<br />
pages, in full color, printed in 1500 copies. It is covering<br />
all major AmCham events, special features,<br />
interviews, activity reports, news & info. Members<br />
also have a great opportunity to increase their<br />
company awareness<br />
through advertising<br />

as it reaches<br />
a big international<br />
and local audience<br />
– it is distributed to<br />
all AmCham members,<br />
other corporations/business,embassies,<br />
NGOs and<br />
