Honor Society Induction
There were 42 new members inducted into the National Honor Society, led by club sponsor, Mrs. Lisa
Rogers. “You are on the right road”, was one of the encouraging statements made by school principal,
Mr. Hill. Officers gave speeches about what it means to be a member in the honor society. Students and
parents enjoyed a reception after the ceremony.
Youth Art Month
The artwork of Rhea’Aja Jones, Laura Harbin, and Cameron
Balazsy was selected for display at the Huntsville Museum of
Art Children’s Gallery for a five week exhibition which will
begin March 10. Also, the following 20 students will have their
work on display until March 14 th : Mya Spencer, Jaden Page,
Hadyn Carroll, Victoria Lenoir, Colten Brunhoeber, Zoe Kalfus,
Lexi Cooper, Jamica Goodlow, Gavin Taylor, Austin Benson,
Walter Zange, Sophie Tatum, Arianne Peebles, Sydnee Stilwell,
Payton Bailey, Cristian Torres, Clayton Onwere, Jack Sentell,
Ashley Robinson, and Ben Basta. Congratulations to Theresa
Miller, Art Teacher
Black History Month
Mrs. Branner’s social studies class had fun learning about famous African
Americans by combining artwork along with bibliographic information on
their projects that were displayed on the 6 th grade hallway.
Vocabulary Parade
Teachers and students enjoyed a morning of costume dress-up, and parading
down the hallways during the recent vocabulary parade. This is by far the
most fun and lively way to learn new vocabulary words, according to the
students.
Leader in Me Symposium
Over 200 educators from around the country toured, asked questions, took pictures, and heard from
students about the first year of being a Leader In Me school. Countless praises and compliments were
given.
