7.4.2 As stated previously, this comprehensive structure should be c<strong>on</strong>sidered <strong>on</strong>ly as a guideline<br />

and not as a mandatory requirement.<br />

7.4.3 To facilitate the aer<strong>on</strong>autical study, a State or organizati<strong>on</strong> may elect to draw <strong>on</strong> existing<br />

studies or guidance material to assist them. In doing so, it will be necessary to:<br />

a) define particular local requirements and c<strong>on</strong>sider how these may impact the study plan<br />

and the c<strong>on</strong>clusi<strong>on</strong>s;<br />

b) c<strong>on</strong>sult <strong>on</strong>ly relevant sources of informati<strong>on</strong>;<br />

c) c<strong>on</strong>sult the authority resp<strong>on</strong>sible for the previous study and obtain appropriate details,<br />

or permissi<strong>on</strong>s;<br />

d) evaluate the informati<strong>on</strong>; and<br />

e) develop and validate the study tasks using relevant informati<strong>on</strong>.<br />

7.4.4 Appendix B provides a list of relevant studies and existing material as well as addresses of<br />

web sites where other validated informati<strong>on</strong> can be found 7 .<br />

7.4.5 However, it should be emphasised that no two situati<strong>on</strong>s are likely to be identical and<br />

therefore c<strong>on</strong>siderable cauti<strong>on</strong> should be exercised when attempting to apply an existing study or soluti<strong>on</strong><br />

to a different locati<strong>on</strong> or situati<strong>on</strong>.<br />

7.5 RECOMMENDATIONS AND CONCLUSIONS<br />

7.5.1 The result of the aer<strong>on</strong>autical study should dem<strong>on</strong>strate that the objectives outlined above<br />

in the scope of the study have been fully met, and will c<strong>on</strong>tain a recommendati<strong>on</strong> for acceptance or rejecti<strong>on</strong>.<br />

The report structure may c<strong>on</strong>sist of:<br />

a) executive summary;<br />

b) introducti<strong>on</strong> and overview;<br />

c) sources of requirements;<br />

d) aer<strong>on</strong>autical study plan overview;<br />

e) aer<strong>on</strong>autical study tasks summary reports;<br />

f) compliance with requirements;<br />
