Two bones <strong>of</strong> similar shape lay in <strong>the</strong> east-west collec-<br />
tion <strong>of</strong> bones. They were long bones <strong>of</strong> medium sized animals,<br />
<strong>the</strong> same bone from two different animals. The west end <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
bones was intact but <strong>the</strong> shaft had been cut and <strong>the</strong> cut end<br />
tapered by two cuts <strong>of</strong> opposite sides <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> bone. One bone<br />
was shorter than <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r and had <strong>the</strong> cut end missing. L a:<br />

Lying <strong>of</strong>f to one side <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> main concentration <strong>of</strong><br />
bones was a flat piece <strong>of</strong> long bone <strong>of</strong> a medium-sized animal<br />
including part <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> end. The whole bone was smoo<strong>the</strong>d and<br />
polished on both sides though parts <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> interior surface<br />
is still visible. The shaft is thinned and tapered with <strong>the</strong><br />
resulting form looking like a letter opener, 14.4 cm. long.<br />

Mixed in with <strong>the</strong> bone pile were six rodent teeth<br />
which, from size, appear to belong to at least four different<br />
animals. There are two pairs present and two single teeth.<br />
