The ear lugs have <strong>the</strong> appearance <strong>of</strong> being flare-andthroat-disk<br />
in one. The greatest dimension <strong>of</strong> both is 1.8<br />
cm.; <strong>the</strong> jades were .5 cm. high and polished.<br />

A thin rectangular bead <strong>of</strong> jade was uncovered lying<br />

lengthwise between <strong>the</strong> legs <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> skeleton resting on <strong>the</strong><br />
pelvis; 2 cm. west <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> east end <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> jade bead was a<br />
tear shaped pearl, pierced for suspension near its top. Its<br />
proximity to <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> jade suggests it was used as a<br />
pendant tie-piece. The jade lay on a carpet <strong>of</strong> solid cinnabar;<br />
below <strong>the</strong> jade and possibly above <strong>the</strong> cinnabar was what<br />
looked more like hide than cloth. The highly polished, single<br />
collared piece <strong>of</strong> jade has a lengthwise biconical perforation.<br />
The jade, <strong>of</strong> length 8.3 width 1.7, and thickness .75<br />
cm. had rough and unfinished ends. Lots <strong>of</strong> brown marked <strong>the</strong><br />
o<strong>the</strong>rwise 2.5G6/8, 5/8 green.<br />
