Six rib (?) bones <strong>of</strong> an unidentified animal lay with<br />

<strong>the</strong>ir curved ends to <strong>the</strong> west. The bones all have one origi-<br />
nal end present and one, a, has <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r end also, which has<br />
a perforation .35 in diameter. b-g have <strong>the</strong> corresponding end<br />
cut <strong>of</strong>f and <strong>the</strong> interior appears to have been smoo<strong>the</strong>d and<br />
filled with a white adhesive (?). All <strong>the</strong> bones were polished<br />
originally and have an average length <strong>of</strong> 8 to 9 cm.<br />

A seventh bone was found in <strong>the</strong> vicinity <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> group<br />
<strong>of</strong> three pyrite plaques. The bone was not noticed until all<br />
<strong>the</strong> plaques had been removed. Although it is possible, that<br />
this bone was accidentally moved during excavation is doubted.<br />
PYRITE (?) PLAQUES<br />
Four pyrite plaques were placed on <strong>the</strong> bench as <strong>of</strong>ferings<br />
for <strong>the</strong> deceased. Three were toge<strong>the</strong>r in <strong>the</strong> southwestern<br />
sector <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> bench and <strong>the</strong> fourth and largest was<br />
located west <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> group <strong>of</strong> bones.<br />
