Myrica cerifera, L. Bayberrv. Wax-Myrtle.<br />

Terra Cotta Swamp; also blufts of the Potomac, in Virginia; the former wet, the<br />

latter dry ground. Rare ; fruit not yet seen. Very irregular in its flowering-time.<br />

Staminate flowers have been collected May 2 and June 17, and fertile flowers May<br />

but both kinds have not been found at the same date.<br />
