F. Purpose of Angels<br />

1. To praise God<br />

a. Psalm 148:2<br />

"Praise Him, all his angels, praise Him, all His heavenly hosts."<br />

b. Isaiah 6:1-3<br />

"In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a<br />

throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple.<br />

2 Above Him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings<br />

they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with<br />

two they were flying. 3 And they were calling to one another:<br />

'Holy, holy , holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of<br />

His glory.'"<br />

2. To serve God<br />

a. Colossians 1:16<br />

"For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on<br />

earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers<br />

or authorities; all things were created by Him and for Him."<br />

("all things... for him)<br />

b. Job 1:6; 2:1<br />

"One day the angels came to present themselves before the Lord,<br />

and Satan also came with them."<br />

"On another day the angels came to present themselves before the<br />

Lord, and Satan also came with them to present himself before Him."<br />

("present themselves"... Why? for service or assignment)<br />

3. To observe (learn) God's wisdom and grace<br />
