B. Inspiration

1. Definition of inspiration :
"God's superintendence of human authors so that, using their own
individual personalities, they composed and recorded without error
His revelation to man in the words of the original autographs."
(Ryrie Study Bible, 1956)
2. Major Views of inspiration :
a. Note the chart on preceding page (6 views).
b. Note that the "Verbal, Plenary" View is the one
embraced in this study.
(1) "Verbal" : the inspiration extends to the very words of the
originals (cf. Jn. 17:8; 1 Thess. 2:13; 1 Cor. 2:10-13).
(2) "Plenary" : the inspiration extends equally to all parts
of the Scriptures (cf. 2 Tim. 3:16).
