(2) Premise : man has embraced many gods throughout<br />

his history (Egyptians, Canaanites, Assyrians, Babylonians,<br />

Greeks, Romans, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, African tribal<br />

deities, et al.).<br />

(3) Biblical response :<br />

• Psalm 86:8<br />

"Among the gods there is none like you, no deeds can<br />

compare with yours."<br />

• 2 Samuel 7:22<br />

"How great you are, O Sovereign Lord! There is no one like<br />

you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard<br />

with our own ears."<br />
