(2) Yieldedness to Christ
• 1 Thessalonians 5:19 (NASB)
"Do not put out the Spirit’s fire;"
• Romans 6:11-13 (NLT)
"So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the
power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus.
12 Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in
to sinful desires. 13 Do not let any part of your body become
an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves
completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have
new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do
what is right for the glory of God."

4. Consequences (of being filled) :
a. Growth in Christian character
Galatians 5:22-23
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things
there is no law."
b. Life of worship and praise
Ephesians 5:18-20
"Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead,
be filled with the Spirit. 19 Speak to one another with psalms, hymns
and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord,
20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name
of our Lord Jesus Christ."
