Holding a valid DHA health professional
license (in any: medical / nursing / allied
health specialties) and proof of having
completed a satisfactory training program
offered through a licensed and/or
competent Hijama practitioner or
therapist and/or institute as deemed
appropriate by DHA
Route 1:
Professional Degree of Homeopathy
(BHMS- Bachelor in Homeopathic
Medicine and surgery) / licentiate from
an accredited Homeopathic program of
not less than five years including
internship
Route 2:
To be certified from an accredited
Homeopathy program of not less than 3
years full time program
Route 3:
Physician privileged to practice
Homeopathy with Homeopathic program
of not less than one year full time
duration
The candidate must be able to prove
that he has been traditionally
practicing Hijama for a period of not
less than 2 years and should possess a
certification attested from court in this
regard
Not less than two years after
internship
Not less than four years after
completion of the course
For UAE nationals who do not meet the
stated educational requirements, but has
been traditionally practicing Hijama, the
designated panel reviews the candidate
portfolio, and recommends the
application for DHA licensure, if the
candidate meets the professional
standard as defined by the panel
All applicants must demonstrate a
current license/ registration to practice
in home country or country of last
employment
Physician must hold a valid DHA
license to practice as a physician
