13.18.1 Primary Titles<br />
Magnetic Resonance<br />
Imaging (MRI)<br />
Technologist (New)<br />

Title Qualifications Experience<br />
Route 1:<br />
Bachelor degree from an accredited university in a Radiography,<br />
Radiology Technology or Medical/Diagnostic Imaging program<br />
OR<br />
Diploma in Radiology (minimum of three years course duration).<br />
Route 2:<br />
Associate degree in Radiography program (not less than 2 years<br />
course duration) AND registration as radiographer with one of the<br />
following bodies:<br />
- The American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)<br />
- The Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists,<br />
- UK HPC,<br />
- The Australian institute of Radiography (AIR)<br />
- Ireland registration department of Health and Children<br />
(Applicable only for graduates from the above mentioned<br />
countries) or other equivalent bodies<br />
Route 1:<br />
Completed a program in MRI (not less than 3 years course<br />
duration) leading to Bachelor or Diploma degree.<br />
Route 2:<br />
Bachelor degree in a Radiography /Radiology Technology or<br />
Medical Imaging program AND<br />
Post graduate Diploma in MRI (minimum of 12 months course<br />
duration) OR<br />
Registration as MRI Technologist with ARRT, UK HPC, AIR, or<br />
other equivalent bodies.<br />
Minimum of two years’ experience in general<br />
radiology field.<br />
Minimum of two years’ experience in the MRI<br />
field.<br />
