ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND
STRENGTHENING
Partnership Building/Networking and
Linkaging
Over the years, SCFI has strengthened its
networking, linkaging and partnership-building
activities in the local, provincial, regional and
national levels. The year 2011 was truly a busy
year for the organization being a member of the
Technical Working Group working on the South
Cotabato Provincial Environment Code. SCFI
also participated in the different committees and
councils in the City of Koronadal, like the Local
Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeal
(LZBAA), Koronadal Solid Waste Management
Council (KSWMC), Koronadal Watershed
Management Council (KWMC), and City
Cooperative Development Council (CCDC).
At the provincial level, SCFI has sustained its
membership to the Provincial Development
Council (PDC), the Economic and Environment
Committee, South Cotabato Airshed Governing
Board (SCAGB) of the Department of
Environment and Natural Resources (DENR),
Provincial Multi-sectoral Forest Management
Committee (P-MFPC), Protected Area
Management Board (PAMB) of Mt. Matutum
Protected Landscape (MMPL), Provincial Mining
and Regulatory Board (PMRB), Provincial
Coordinating Council for Health Concern
(PCCHC), and Provincial Agricultural and
Fishery Council (PAFC). Because of its track

the Treasurer of the Board of Trustees of the
Coalition of Social Development Organizations in
South Cotabato (CSDO-SC).
SCFI was also involved with the Department of
Trade and Insudtry (DTI) and Department of
Agrarian Reform (DAR) as a speaker on
microfinance, and as a trainer for DAR clients on
fabric conditioner.
SCFI’s membership at the regional and national
levels was also sustained. Mrs. Belen S.
Fecundo, SCFI Executive Director, is the
Regional Treasurer of the Philippine Partnership
for the Development of Human Resources in
Rural Areas (PhilDHRRA), Mindanao area. As
member of the Association of Foundations (AF),
the organization was able to strengthen its
management capacities with a training on
Leadership for Nation Building: A Workshop on
Engaged and Responsible Citizenship.
