2.8 4 TH ALL INDIA CENSUS OF
MSMEs
2.8.1 Office of the Development
Commissioner, M/o Micro, Small
& Medium Enterprises, had so
far conducted three censuses on
micro and small enterprises. The
latest being 4th Census conducted
with reference period 2006-07 was
completed during 2010-11.
2.8.2 Objectives of the 4th census
(i) To strengthen the database

Minister’s Rozgar Yojana
(PMRY) scheme.
