Sve~ana akademija - Drustvo Srbije za borbu protiv raka

Inicira izgradwu ve} pomenutog Patolo-
{kog instituta, za to vreme jedne od
najboqih zgrada te vrste u svetu.
Jo{ dok je bio u Be~u, profesor Joannovi}
je shvatio, i po tome je on veliki
vizionar, da }e rak biti planetarni problem
XX veka i da zdravstvena delatnost,
ma koliko bila kadrovski, prostorno i
opremom situirana, ne}e sama iza}i na
kraj sa tom po{asti i da je potrebno
ukqu~iti sve segmente dru{tva, da bi se
na neki na~in poku{ao zaustaviti ovaj
xinovski neprijateq koji se zove rak.
U to vreme ve} u nekoliko zemaqa su
formirana dru{tva za borbu protiv raka:
Austriji, Americi, Francuskoj.

Institute of Pathology, which was,
at the time, among the best buildings in the
world.
While still in Vienna, professor Joannovi}
realized, and that is what makes him a great
visionary, that cancer is a global problem of
the XX century and that the scientific practise,
notwithstanding its personnel, premises
and equipment quality, cannot combat with
such a vicious disease unless it includes all
the segments of society, in order to try to stop
this giant enemy, called cancer.
At the time, already several countries formed
their Associations for fighting cancer:
Austria, America and France.
