ON the 26th, monsieiir the Seneschal and<br />

Monsieur Robineau leave Quebec to<br />

go to three Rivers, in company with<br />

15 frenchmen. They arrived at 3 Rivers on<br />

the second day of March, and started thence<br />

on the Thursday of mid-Lent. They ar-<br />

rived at Quebec on the following Saturday,<br />

the 9th day of March.<br />

MARCH.<br />

On the second day of March, 12 Hurons,<br />

six Algonquins, and ten Algonquin women,<br />

having left Three Rivers for Montreal, and<br />

having spent the night on lake st. Pierre,<br />

were—on the next morning, a Saturday —<br />

attacked on the way by the Iroquois. 3<br />

Algonquin women escaped, also five Algonquins,<br />

and 2 Hurons, Ehawennon and Achaennhak.<br />

Toratati, burned; Athohonchiwanne, killed;<br />

Ora'kwi, Otarawia, burned; Ondiatsondi,<br />

Onnondate,en, Osondach, Atandihetsi, londe'cha,<br />

and Tonnontaon, son of Hoek, qui et<br />

Ahoskwentak vacatur.<br />

On the 8th, Madamoiselle de Grandmai-<br />

son's house at the isle of Orleans was burned,
