Invitation to tender
3. Invitation to tender
The invitation to tender is the basis for the window manu-
facturer’s offer. The following check lists shall enable ten-
dering architects and building owners to provide a detailed
invitation to tender, so that the tendering party may submit
a specific and comprehensive offer for the respective proj-
ect.
The tendering party has to verify all additional technical con-
tract conditions (atcc/ZTV) (see 3.03) along with the sub-
mission of the quotation so that the ordering party can see
that all requirements are fulfilled. Requirements are based
on technical specifications as per VOB/A, recent version, ap-
pendix TS. In case classifications with harmonized European
standards have already been published, these standards are
contents of the general technical contract conditions
(gtcc/ATV), atcc/ZTV or of the specifications.
In order to fulfill the requirements of the Landesbauord-
nung (“Building Regulations of the Land”) the current
Bauregelliste (“Construction Products Lists") has to be ob-
served (see www.dibt.de).
Continuous inspection and quality control is required which
must be auditable.
The invitation to tender has to be reviewed. In case of un-
clear, deficient or incorrect declaration (also if specified by
the ordering party) the consignee is obliged to clarify the
scope of his performance obligation according to VOB/B,
§ 3. He has to inform the ordering party correspondingly in
writing before work begins.
The following check lists may help the tendering party to de-
fine description and scope of the requested activities exact-
ly and to control the compliance.
