6.2.4 Couplings
For the safe transfer of the loads into the building, the rein-
forcements used for the stiffener in case of element cou-
plings, must be fastened at the building.

The installation
Take into account the fact that the reinforcements may nev-
er be clamped securely but can take part of the movements
occuring from the construction work because of the use of a
movable bearing according to fig. 21.

In case of great element widths or heights, an expansion
joint is to be mounted according to the manufacturer’s
instruction, to be able to take both the horizontal and
the vertical expansion of the profiles (fig. 22).
