CAC Item No. 18 Name of the Industry : M/s. Ballarpur Industries Ltd., (Ashti), Tal. Charmorshi, Dist.- Gadchiroli HOD Remarks: • Applied for the Renewal of Consent for production of Writing and printing paper (White) – 5000 T/M. (based on readymade pulp & without bleaching) • Application received at SRO office on dt.09/12/2011 and at HQ on dt. 07/04/2012. • Capital Investment of the Industry is Rs. 310.20 Crs. • Industrial effluent generation shown is reduced to the tune of 5500 CMD against the previous consented quantity of 6500 CMD. • Domestic effluent is 500 CMD towards the previous consented quantity of 300 CMD. • ETP of capacity 6000 CMD with secondary treatment is provided. • JVS results are provided which are within the consented limits. • ESP is provided as an APCS boiler. • As per the decision of the CAC meeting dt.16.04.2012, SCN was issued vide letter dt. 27.04.2012 to the Industry for Non Submission of BG, not providing adequate APC system and non compliance of consent conditions. • Regional Officer Chandrapur vide letter dt.03.05.2012 reported that a) The said unit was visited on 26.04.2012. b) Water sprinklers are provided at coal stock yard. c) The work of Installation of dust collector at crushing unit, ash siloes were in progress. d) Industry has submitted BG of Rs. 50,000/- valid upto 31/03/2013. • Now Industry has paid / submitted BG of Rs. 50000 as per the directions issued. • The dust collector installation is in progress as per RO report. • We may grant Renewal with BG of Rs. 5.0 Lakhs as per the matrix.
CAC Item No. 19 Name of the Industry : M/s. Brintons Carpets Asia Pvt. Ltd., Gat No.- 414/415/416, Vill.- Urawade, Tal. Mulshi, Dist.- Pune. HOD Remarks: • Applied for C to E for expansion for Dyed Yarn by 25 MT/M and Carpet production by 25000 Sq. mtrs. • Application received at SRO on Dt.20.10.2011 and at HQ on 02.03.2012. • C.I of the proposed expansion is Rs. 8.57 Cr. (C.I of existing unit is Rs. 102.13 Cr; Total C.I of the Industry is Rs.110.7 Cr.) • Existing consent for Dyed yarn-150 MT/M, Carpet production -95000 Sq. mtrs. and spinning of yarn 261 MT/M is valid upto 31/12/2013. • Located at 3.00 Km away from Mula river (A-2). • Industrial effluent generation is to the tune of 25 CMD and D.E is 5CMD in addition to exiting I.E -152 CMD. • Industry has provided ETP with secondary & Tertiary treatment. • For the treatment of D.E provided 3 packaged STP’s. • Disposal of the treated effluent is on land for gardening, land available is @ 12 Acres. • Obtained membership of CHWTSDF, M/s. MEPL, Ranjangaon. • JVS results are not confirming to the consented standards w.r.t BOD. • RO Pune has recommended for grant of C to E by imposing appropriate Bank Guarantee towards O & M of ETP. • As per the decision of the CAC dt. 16.04.2012, SCN for refusal of consent was issued vide letter dt. 27.04.2012 as industry has already started the operations and taking trial runs. • Industry has submitted reply to SCN and stated that no commercial production started, only the machines / operational conditions are checked with British Experts. • Industry has expressed apology for carrying trial run without C to O. • We may Grant C to E subject to provide augmentation of existing ETP or recycle effluent.
