CAC Item No. 39 Name of industry: M/s. Mazgaon Dock Ltd. , Dock Yard Road, Mazgaon Mumbai. HOD Remarks : • Applied for renewal of Consent to operate with expansion. • Application received at SRO on 27/02/2012 and at HQ on 07/05/2012 • Capital investment of the industry is 169.18 Crs. • Industry has provided ETP consisting of primary treatment followed by tertiary treatment, which is inadequate considering physical segregation of high COD & metal bearing system, which requires up gradation of existing of ETP. • Industry has provided Air Pollution Control System in form of suction hood. • JVS analysis results dated 28/06/2011, & 22/09/2011 are exceeding consent limit. • RO Mumbai, recommended renewal of consent to operate with Bank Guarantee for up gradation of ETP, STP & Air Pollution Control System. • ETP is not operated regularly. • Dry & wet Dock construction started without CRZ clearance & C to E from MPC Board. • More than 10% increase in investment made without permission i.e C.I. Ltd., TTC Industrial Area DAKC Koparakharine HOD Remarks: • Applied for renewal of Consent to operate. • Application received at SRO on 30/01/2012 and at HQ on 08/05/2012 • submitted application for renewal of consent for IT Project, on plot area 5,39,349 sq mtrs & total built up area of 2,36,195 sq. mtrs including utilities of residential project & services as occupancy certificate of local body. • Capital investment of the industry is 1886.5035646 Crs. Earlier capital of investment of industry was 1836.038 Crs. Industry has increased its capital investment by 50 Crs. • Industry has applied for change in domestic effluent quantity from 744 CMD to 930 CMD, RO Navi Mumbai reported to update /amend the figure of Domestic effluent quantity 930 CMD. • As reported by RO Navi Mumbai, industry has provided STP of the Capacity 2000 CMD for treatment of domestic effluent qty 930 CMD. • SRO NM-I has collected JVS samples of STP outlet, as per analysis reports of STP samples all parameters are within consented limits. • Industry has submitted Environmental Statement in Form V to MPC Board. • Industry has submitted Water Cess paid up to April 2011 & return filed up to Sep 2011. • RO , Navi Mumbai recommended case for grant of renewal of consent with correction in domestic effluent quantity to 930 CMD, up to period 31/03/2014 • Recommended for renewal of consent after confirmation on Capital investment.
