Species list
The following list includes not only species
here reported as new to Angermanland but
also new records of rare or othenvise interesting
species. In total 69 species are listed of
r"fiicn 36 are new to Angermanland (marked
by Roland Moberg (RM) are kept at the
Botanical Museum (Fytoteket), Uppsala University
(UPS) and collections by G6ran Thor
(GT) are kept at the Swedish Museum of
Natural History, Stockholm (S). Author's citation
is given only for those species not treated
or treated under a different name by Santesson
(1984). Species treated by Degelius (1931) are
cited by page after the names. Information on
localities follows the same principle as
Degelius which means parish and a brief locality
information. Detailed information is available
from the authors.
Bryoria nadvornikiana: - Reported from several
localities by Ahlner (1948). Still present
in primary forests, but such forests
are rapidly disappearing because of intense
forestry.
Bryori"a nitidula: Htirn6sand, Htirn6n, Mt
Klubberget, 1.986, RM; Siibr6, Hems6n,
Mt Hultomsberget 1986, RM. - The species
is known only from a few localities in
Scandinavia, all in alpine or arctic areas. It
was briefly mentioned from Angermanland
(Ahlner 1953) but not included in
Hawksworth (1972). In Angermanland it is
growing on the very top of some coastal
mountains strongly exposed to wind. The
climate is thus similar to the arcticlalpine
situation.
