Inclusion <strong>of</strong> this section was based on the problems that were being encountered by the<br />

amputees soon after discbarge. These problems were either physical, if the amputees<br />

were not well prepared for discharge or not given enough health education about stump<br />

care. The other problems were socially related, when the amputees could not financially<br />

afford visits to the health care centres for stump care, ifthey were <strong>of</strong>fered there.<br />
