1) Increase power in all engines to 100% (15% to<br />

taxi only) by clicking "+," to <strong>the</strong> right of <strong>the</strong> PWR<br />

display.<br />

2) Parking Brake OFF (or as speed control while<br />

taxiing).<br />

3) At 170 knots, pull back on control column (press<br />

down-arrow key) until <strong>the</strong> artificial horizon indicator<br />

reads 6%.<br />

4) Retract landing gear immediately after takeoff.<br />

(Gear will be damaged if extended at speeds<br />

exceeding 375 kts.)<br />

5) RETRACT flaps when speed exceeds 200 kts.<br />

(Flaps will be damaged if extended at speeds<br />

exceeding 450 kts.)<br />

6) Decrease power to 80%.<br />

Flight Control<br />

1) To turn <strong>the</strong> aircraft to <strong>the</strong> left, press <strong>the</strong> left-arrow<br />

key to raise <strong>the</strong> left wing spoiler and elevate <strong>the</strong> right<br />

rear stabilator.<br />

2) To turn <strong>the</strong> aircraft to <strong>the</strong> right, press <strong>the</strong> rightarrow<br />

key to raise <strong>the</strong> right wing spoiler and elevate<br />

<strong>the</strong> left rear stabilator.<br />

3) To make <strong>the</strong> aircraft climb, or pitch up, press <strong>the</strong><br />

down-arrow key to elevate both stabilators.<br />

4) To make <strong>the</strong> aircraft descend, or pitch down, press<br />

<strong>the</strong> up-arrow key to lower <strong>the</strong> stabilators.<br />

5) To slow <strong>the</strong> aircraft down quickly, turn AIRBKE<br />

switch ON in flight to raise both sets of wing spoilers.<br />

6) Extend FLAPS if airspeed drops below 200 kts.<br />
