SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT<br />
ANNEXURE-III<br />
1.0 <strong>GAIL</strong> (India) Limited. is a Public Sector Undertaking involved in the<br />
distribution and marketing <strong>of</strong> natural Gas. <strong>GAIL</strong> has a wide network<br />
<strong>of</strong> pipelines <strong>for</strong> transmission and distribution <strong>of</strong> gas and<br />
manufacturing <strong>of</strong> petrochemical products.<br />
1.1 The scope <strong>of</strong> this tender is supply <strong>of</strong> required light Motor vehicles <strong>for</strong><br />
usage <strong>of</strong> senior <strong>of</strong>ficers/VIPs/Company Guests in Maharashtra, Goa &<br />
Gujarat.<br />
1.2 The contractor shall supply the vehicles with drivers on daily/round<br />
the clock <strong>basis</strong> (as the case may be) in all weather, as per<br />
time/duration indicated in the schedule <strong>of</strong> rates, as and when<br />
requisitioned.<br />
1.3 The vehicles supplied will be <strong>of</strong> model <strong>of</strong> not earlier than 2006 make<br />
and shall be in tiptop condition with all the regular and breakdown<br />
maintenance done by the contractor at his own cost.<br />
1.4 The rates quoted by the contractor shall be on a <strong>call</strong> <strong>basis</strong> <strong>for</strong> a<br />
minimum run as indicated in the scheduled <strong>of</strong> rates. The rate thus<br />
quoted shall include remuneration <strong>of</strong> the driver, petrol/diesel charges<br />
etc.<br />
1.5 The vehicles provided by the contractor shall have a comprehensive<br />
insurance plan <strong>for</strong> the vehicles and shall keep such insurance cover in<br />
<strong>for</strong>ce at all times.<br />
1.6 Copies <strong>of</strong> All the documentary pro<strong>of</strong> <strong>for</strong> all the statutory requirements<br />
and insurance shall be submitted to <strong>GAIL</strong> <strong>for</strong> records originals <strong>for</strong><br />
verification which shall be mandatory <strong>for</strong> pre-qualification <strong>of</strong><br />
contractor/award <strong>of</strong> contract/processing <strong>of</strong> contractor’s invoices <strong>for</strong><br />
payment.<br />
1.7 The contractor shall take responsibility <strong>for</strong> any action arising out <strong>of</strong><br />
non-compliance <strong>of</strong> above statutory/insurance requirements and shall<br />
keep <strong>GAIL</strong> indemnified <strong>of</strong> any claim/legal/statutory action <strong>of</strong><br />
whatsoever kind that may arise.<br />
1.8 The vehicles shall be provided with well-behaved drivers possessing<br />
valid driving license. Any misbehaving driver or driver found not<br />
having valid driving license shall be replaced by the contractor<br />
