Interest In Acquiring Various <strong>Exercise</strong> Skills/Support<br />
<strong>Exercise</strong> Motivators<br />
There also exists considerable interest in the acquisition <strong>of</strong> certain<br />
exercise-specific skills. In fact, majorities say they would be “very” or<br />
“somewhat interested” in learning how to do the following:<br />
• <strong>Exercise</strong> safely (74%)<br />
• Keep motivated (71%)<br />
• Set realistic goals (66%)<br />
Moreover, half express interest in:<br />
• Developing an individualized physical activity plan (51%)<br />
• Tracking their progress (<strong>50</strong>%)<br />
• Learning how to keep on track when facing special events such as<br />
holidays or vacations (49%).<br />
Relatively few (29%), however, say they would be interested in<br />
developing a support network.<br />
Here again, persons age <strong>50</strong>-59 are especially likely to say they are<br />
interested in learning such things.<br />
