Why Stopped Taking Community <strong>Exercise</strong> Classes/Programs<br />
Americans <strong>50</strong>-<strong>79</strong> who at one time took community exercise classes/<br />
programs but stopped cite a number <strong>of</strong> “major” reasons for doing so. Chief<br />
among them are:<br />
• Health reasons (30%—especially 70-<strong>79</strong> year olds, 52%)<br />
• Not enough time/too busy (26%, especially women, 29% <strong>and</strong> <strong>50</strong>-59<br />
year olds, 36%)<br />
• Inconvenient location (24%)<br />
• Too expensive (19%, especially <strong>50</strong>-59, 29%)<br />
