RELEASED: FRIDAY, MAY 14, 2010<br />
NOTE: <strong>Ektron</strong> Windows Service in version 8.01 is only compatible with sites from version 7.66 SP2<br />
through 8.01. If you have any sites that are below version 7.6.6 SP2, you should upgrade each to 7.6.6<br />
SP5 or higher prior to upgrading from the 8.01 base installer.<br />
During the installation of the <strong>Ektron</strong> 8.01 Base Installer you may see the following message<br />
if you have any incompatible sites installed:<br />
The installation has detected that there is one or more sites on this server<br />
that are running a version below 7.6.6 SP2. The <strong>Ektron</strong> Windows Service in the<br />
version being installed is not compatible with versions prior to 7.6.6 SP2.<br />
If you continue, the <strong>Ektron</strong> Windows Service will not be able to serve those<br />
sites below this version. Do you want to continue? If so, please ensure that<br />
you upgrade each of those sites to a supported version to prevent any issues.<br />
IMPORTANT: With a fresh install of 8.01, the PDFGeneratorEnabled property is set to false in<br />
Program<br />
Files\<strong>Ektron</strong>\<strong>Ektron</strong>WindowsService30\<strong>Ektron</strong>.ASM.<strong>Ektron</strong>Services30.exe.config.<br />
You must change it to true if you want to use PDF generation. If you are upgrading to 8.01, the default<br />
value is true. To learn about PDF generation, see PDF Generation.<br />
