Copy and Move<br />
l You can copy and move folders within <strong>Ektron</strong>.<br />
l The procedure for moving/copying content has changed. You can select several content<br />
items in a folder and move/copy them at once. Also, support for multiple language<br />
versions of content being moved/copied was improved.<br />
l You can copy or move a taxonomy category to another taxonomy node. Also, you can<br />
assigncustom properties to any taxonomy. Custom properties let you extend<br />
functionality by capturing additional information.<br />
URL Aliasing<br />
l URL Aliasing has been expanded to include Community Groups and Users.<br />
Document Management<br />
l The DMS Drag Drop screen has a new tab that lets you browse to any authorized file for<br />
uploading.<br />
l The File Upload tab alleviates problems such as handlers, browser version, Windows<br />
version, port numbers, load balancers, etc.<br />
Analytics<br />
l Version 8.01 offers two types of Analytics: Traffic analytics, which uses an external<br />
provider (for example, Google Analytics) to monitor traffic to your site, and Business<br />
Analytics, which uses <strong>Ektron</strong> server controls to track activity, store it in the database,<br />
and report on that information.<br />
l Business Analytics' reporting features include the Most Popular and Trends widgets.<br />
l The GetAnalyticsData property has been added to several server controls. It shows the<br />
following information about content displayed in the control: Content View Count,<br />
Content Rating, Content Rating Average.<br />
Web Calendar<br />
l Web calendar appointments can be copied to any calendar that can import an iCalendar<br />
*.ics file.<br />
l This is helpful when you want to keep track of appointments on both your Web calendar<br />
and a mobile device calendar, for example.<br />
l Calendar appointments can be part of an Approval Chain, like other types of content.<br />
l Calendar appointments can be picked up and displayed in an <strong>Ektron</strong> Activity Stream.<br />
PageBuilder<br />
Copy and Move<br />
l A Master layout has been added to PageBuilder. This new function lets the page<br />
designer reserve certain sections of a page for content that authors cannot change, such<br />
as company logo, page footers, and so on.<br />
