More than 300 suppliers in upper Normandy have shown interest in the wind energy sector making the energy sector the priority of the region in terms of economic development. Le Havre has been chosen by AREVA and EDF énergies nouvelles – ALSTOM –DONG ENERGY - WPD to develop production and logistic activities for their offshore wind business. AREVA will produce from 2015 nacelles and blades in Le Havre while EDF énergies nouvelles – ALSTOM –DONG ENERGY - WPD will use the infrastructures of the port of Le Havre to set up a base port for the wind farm of Fécamp (486MW) and produce their 81 gravity based foundations.

In France, Maintenance requests for wind farms is rapidly growing up, Plastinov decided to create a dedicated subsidiary PLASTEOL. This service company offers an innovative solution inspection blade through a high-tech drone system. After analysis and expertise, Plasteol performs all types ofmaintenance and repairs necessary for the functioning of the blade. 27
