Foun<strong>de</strong>d in 1996, the French Wind Energy Association (<strong>France</strong><br />

Energie Eolienne - FEE) is a network of almost 250 members<br />

involved in the French Wind Industry.<br />

FEE supports wind power <strong>de</strong>velopment in <strong>France</strong>. It advocates<br />

for a suitable legal framework to be put in place. It voices<br />

the rights and interests of its members. To this end, FEE<br />

represents the industry before public, national, European and<br />

regional authorities and regulating bodies. FEE also promotes<br />

the benefits of wind energy to the public and the media.<br />

The policy positions and data are ma<strong>de</strong> in collaboration with<br />

the association members. Commissions and specific working<br />

groups composed of professionals focus on the following<br />

topics: Legal framework, Industry, Economics, Grid connection,<br />

Project planning and <strong>de</strong>velopment, Offshore, Public relations,<br />

Industry, Operation.<br />

It informs its members of any interesting <strong>de</strong>velopment for<br />

the industry, provi<strong>de</strong>s the positions of the industry in the law<br />

and regulation making process, interacts with government<br />

members and their cabinets, members of Parliament, civil<br />

servants and journalists, organizes events for its members and<br />

the public and generally supports wind energy <strong>de</strong>velopment.<br />

FEE also works to create and strengthen links between the<br />

various French and foreign partners in the wind power industry.
