Setting Up the Server Windows Explorer shows several subdirectories. Setting Up Network Services Applications Note: Refer to the Network Services Implementation Guide for descriptions of the applications. 1. In Windows Explorer, double-click the Setup application icon in the \\CPMCP1\Installs folder. The Windows Tools for ClearPath MCP screen appears. 2. Expand the Product Selection tree view, select the Windows Tools check box, and then clear the check box next to each of the following components. Caution If you do not clear the appropriate check boxes, the following components cause errors during installation. Click Next. 4. Review the Selected Products list and ensure that the correct applications are listed. 5. Click Install. Files are copied from the MCP environment to the Windows environment. This process takes a few minutes to complete. 6. Review the Installation Progress window and ensure that all the applications were installed successfully. 7. Click Finish. 2–14 3845 8188–000
8. Disconnect the network drives mapped to the host. 9. Click Halt in the Console for MCP window to halt the MCP environment. 10. Restart the Windows operating system. 11. Start the MCP environment again. Connecting to the External Public LAN Setting Up the Server The Shared Adapters feature can be configured to provide an “out-of-the-box” connection to the public LAN. As stated in the server installation policy, this configuration is not part of a normal system installation. For complete information, refer to the Network Services Implementation Guide.
