in the Road Districts Act, 1919, the Plantagenet Road<br />
Board hereby grants a license to<br />

Excellency the Governor in Council has approved of the<br />
attached By-laws of the Dowerin Road Board, in accordance<br />
with the provisions of '' The Road Districts Act,<br />

For the better equipment of the public well, situated<br />
on Reserve 8838, Ejanding, in the Dowerin Road Board<br />
District, a twelve feet windmill, deep well pump, and<br />
5,000 gallon squatter's tank be erected thereon, at the<br />
expense of the Dowerin Road Board and the persons<br />
using the equipment.<br />
lip -law 56.<br />
That the cost to persons drawing water from the tank<br />
be an immediate cash payment to the Dowerin Road<br />
Board of a sum equivalent to three-pence and three-fifths<br />
of a penny per acre, on rateable property now held, or<br />
that may be held by them, till the cost of the equipment<br />
is paid for, or in three annual instalments, in cases where<br />
the total SUM cannot he paid at once, the first instalment<br />
to lie ;nth] forthwith.<br />
By-law 57.<br />
That the cost to the :Dowerin. Road Board be a sum<br />
equivalent to the labour cost of erecting the windmill,<br />
pump, and tank.<br />
.By-law 58.<br />
That the cost to persons using the equipment, other<br />
than contributing property owners, be £10 per year, or<br />
such lesser sum as nine he arranged between them and<br />
the Dowerin Road Board.<br />
By-law 59.<br />
That it shall be an offence to take water front the<br />
tank without the written authority of the Dowerin Road<br />
hoard or their appointed representative, for which the<br />
offender shall i.be liable, on conviction, to a penalty not<br />
exceeding £10. ---<br />
