Content Security 4–88 So, you can block content signed by a certificate that would pass the normal verification process, or allow a signature that would cause problems, e. g. because the certificate has expired. You can configure actions for vendors in Web and e-mail traffic. To add a vendor to the list, use the area labeled: • Add vendor In the input field provided here, specify the vendor. To do this, type it in the fieldorbrowsetoit,usingtheBrowse button next to the field. Make sure to use only base64-encoded certificates for specifying a vendor. Furthermore, use the following items when adding a vendor: — Choose Actions From the drop-down lists provided here, select actions for Web and e-mail traffic that should be executed for the vendor you want to add to the list. — AddtoSoftwareVendorList After specifying information on the new vendor, click on this button to add this vendor to the list. A message will then be displayed, saying if the vendor has been added successfully and providing information on the result of the verification process. If the inspection of the vendor certificate resulted in an error or open issue, the depth of the certificate is also stated in the error message. By depth is meant the position the certificate takes within the certificate chain. So, e. g. depth = 0 means the certificate has been issued immediately for the software in question, as is the case with self-signed certificates, depth = 1 is for a certificate issued to certify a depth-0-certificate and so on. The Software Vendor List is displayed at the bottom of this section. To display only a particular number of list entries at a time, type this number in the input field labeled Number of entries per page and enter it using the Enter key of your keyboard. If the number of entries is higher than this number, the remaining entries are shown on successive pages. A page indicator is then displayed, where you can select a particular page by clicking on the appropriate arrow symbols. To edit an entry, type the appropriate text in the input field provided here. Then click on Apply Changes to make this setting effective. You can edit more than one entry and make the changes effective in one go.
4.8 Use the following item to perform other activities relating to the list: • Delete Selected Content Security Select the entry you wish to delete by marking the Select checkbox next to it and click on this button. You can delete more than one entry in one go. To delete all entries, mark the Select all checkbox and click on this button.
