and in consequence the students are better prepared. This is a thing that is continuously
growing and it is just the thing we want. We are trying now to get younger and younger
students to get involved. We do not expect of them to conceive papers by themselves, we
advise them to collaborate with older students, and thus they can learn more tings from
them. The important thing for them is to understand that being a good scientist and
professional involves more than just showing up in school, and later on, at work - it takes
extra work and interest. Another important thing is that they have the opportunity to learn
notions and to learn operate devices that wouldn`t otherwise have the chance to. Any way
you look at it, it is an excellent chance for students to get better and better.
This symposium is also a good chance to maintain the collaboration between our three
student chapters in Romania, as they are all in very different parts of our country and they
interact little. We always try to do our best to create opportunities for the students to mingle
and get to know each other better, even create friendships. It is very well known that our
Universities are in a constant competition and they do not collaborate much – maybe we
can make a difference.
