a vertical girder that runs from <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Main Deck <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> shell plating above stringer #6. The largest secti<strong>on</strong> of transverse plating<br />
that is unstiffened is approximately a 24"X34.5" secti<strong>on</strong> of plate. An assumpti<strong>on</strong> was made that all vertical stiffeners are spaced<br />
equally apart. All structural analysis was performed <strong>on</strong> this secti<strong>on</strong> of plate.<br />
