ANNEX C - DESCRIPTION OF TRANSACTIONS AND ACCOUNTS<br />

Note: Agency to complete prior to release <strong>of</strong> RFT. This Annex will provide tenderers with the in<strong>for</strong>mation<br />

required to assess the Agency’s specific requirements, estimate their cost structures <strong>and</strong> provide the Agency<br />

with commercially competitive <strong>of</strong>fers, based on the Agency’s transaction volumes <strong>and</strong> account keeping<br />

requirements.<br />

1 BANK ACCOUNT STRUCTURES<br />

Provide an outline <strong>of</strong> the agency’s bank account structure (e.g. a map);<br />

Provides details <strong>of</strong> the quantity, types (by function as well as “departmental”, “administered”<br />

payments/receipts, Trust Account descriptors) <strong>and</strong> domicile (i.e. location) <strong>of</strong> the Agency’s bank accounts.<br />

• Outline any sub-accounts operating within these structures.<br />

If the Agency has developed proposals to change these numbers <strong>and</strong>/or structures, outline how <strong>and</strong> what<br />

changes are expected to be made.<br />

Indicate the average balances <strong>of</strong> accounts by type over (say) a yearly cycle – indicating peaks <strong>and</strong> troughs.<br />

2 TRANSACTION VOLUMES<br />

Provide details <strong>of</strong> measured volumes <strong>of</strong> transactions by each transaction type (e.g. deposits, direct credits,<br />

cheques, RTGS transfers) <strong>for</strong> a representative period; either actuals or estimates.<br />

Where the Agency expects some significant changes in these volumes in relation to specific transactions, or<br />

overall, it should indicate the nature <strong>of</strong> these changes <strong>and</strong> estimate their impact. <strong>Tender</strong>ers can be<br />

requested to price according to current <strong>and</strong> estimated transaction volumes.<br />

3 MAJOR CASH FLOWS<br />

Provide an outline <strong>of</strong> the movements by value over a weekly, monthly or yearly cycle <strong>for</strong> the Agency’s cash<br />

flows. This should describe movements between accounts <strong>and</strong> <strong>for</strong> inflows (receipts) <strong>and</strong> outflows<br />

(payments) through payment system <strong>and</strong> settlement streams (Real Time Gross Settlement <strong>and</strong><br />

Commonwealth Bulk Direct Entry) <strong>and</strong> geographically through any existing agency banking network (in<br />

Australia <strong>and</strong> overseas).<br />
