includes sufficient information to allow comparison of the alternative tender with tenders
that meet the SOR.
2.3.2 Failure to provide the information requested in clause 2.3.1 may result in the […INSERT
NAME OF AGENCY…] not considering the alternative tender.
2.4 Alterations, Erasures or Illegibility
2.4.1 Tenders containing alterations or erasures, and tenders in which prices or other information
necessary for evaluation of the tender are not clearly and legibly stated, may be excluded
from consideration at the discretion of the [...INSERT AGENCY NAME...]. Any alteration
made to a tender must be initialled by the tenderer.
2.5 Copies of Tender
2.5.1 The original and [....INSERT NUMBER OF COPIES REQUIRED....] copies of the tender and
any supporting material shall be submitted. The original is to be marked "Original" and each
copy sequentially marked with a copy number. In the event of any discrepancy between the
copies and the original, the original is to take precedence.
2.5.2 The tenderer shall, in addition to lodging the copies required by clause 2.5.1 submit
electronically stored copies, with read only access, which are machine readable in Microsoft
Word/6.0 (Rich Text Format) RTF format on 3.5” floppy disc or CD-ROM. In the event of any
discrepancy between the electronically stored copy and the original, the original is to take
precedence.
Note: The Agency may wish to adapt this provision as required for their own IT systems.
2.6 Lodgement of Tenders
2.6.1 Tenders must be lodged in the Tender Box at [...INSERT DETAILS...] on or before close of
business (4:30 p.m.) on [....INSERT DATE....] (the Tender Closing Time).
2.6.2 Tenders must be enclosed in a sealed envelope or other sealed container and clearly marked
on the outside with the RFT reference number and closing date in order to minimise
mishandling.
2.6.3 Tenders lodged after the Tender Closing Time will be taken to be “Late Tenders”. Late
Tenders will be opened and registered separately and may be excluded from the evaluation
process at the sole and absolute discretion of the [...INSERT AGENCY NAME...]. Matters the
[...INSERT AGENCY NAME...] may take into consideration in exercising its discretion include
the circumstances surrounding the submission and receipt of the Late Tender, including:

how late the tender is, and the reasons provided for the late submission, supported by
appropriate explanatory evidence;
the length of time permitted for the preparation of tenders, including any extension
permitted under clause 2.7; and
whether the [...INSERT AGENCY NAME...] is satisfied that the tenderer lodging the
Late Tender is unlikely to obtain an unfair advantage through the lodgement of a Late
Tender.
2.6.4 Any decision by the [...INSERT AGENCY NAME...] on whether or not to admit a Late Tender
to the evaluation process shall be final.
