1 PRELIMINARY
1.1 Structure of the Request for Tender
1.1.1 This Request for Tender (RFT) by [...INSERT AGENCY NAME...], invites tenders for the
provision of Banking and related Services to [....INSERT AGENCY NAME....]. Tenders are to
be provided in accordance with, and subject to, the conditions contained in this RFT.
1.1.2 The RFT comprises:

Introduction;
Conditions of Tender;
Draft Conditions of Contract; and
Statement of Requirement.
1.1.3 The Introduction provides background material and information concerning this project.
Nothing in the Introduction shall be construed as a representation on the part of the
[...INSERT AGENCY NAME...], as to the [...INSERT AGENCY NAME...]’s future conduct or
project schedule. Where a conflict exists between the Introduction and any other part of this
RFT, it shall be dealt with in accordance with clause 1.2 of the Conditions of Tender.
2 BACKGROUND

This might cover a general description of the functions and structure of the agency, geographic distribution,
corporate objectives, key business processes and service delivery objectives, particularly where they
relate strongly to the Agency’s banking services. Note: The Agency should provide sufficient information to
permit tenderers to attain a general understanding of the Agency’s functions and related business
requirements.
3 BANKING SERVICES
3.1 Services to be Provided
3.1.1 In general terms, the Services to be provided cover [….INSERT DETAILS…]
This should include a general summary of the Agency’s Banking Services requirements e.g.: transactional
banking services including, but not limited to, the provision of accounts and deposit facilities, cheque and
electronic payment distribution and settlement, revenue collection, purchase card facilities and related account
and transaction information services. Access to a branch network for paper and cash deposits and cheque
encashment is also included in the services to be provided. Note: The Agency should ensure that the information
provided in this section is consistent with the information provided in the detailed Statement of Requirements at
Part Four.
3.1.2 Part Two (Annex C) to this RFT provides information on the current and projected
transactions for [...INSERT AGENCY NAME...], its bank account structures and significant
cash flows.
