7. Gurdwara Damdama Sahib: It is the sacred Gurdwara built<br />

to commemorate the visit of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib, who visited<br />

Delhi at the invitation ofEmperor Bahadur Shah, son ofAurangzeb.'It<br />

is located Near Nizamuddin Railway Station in the Southern part of<br />

Delhi.<br />

8. Gurdwara Moti Bagh: Situated at a place previously known<br />

as 'Mochi Bagh', in South West Delhi near Dhaula Kuan, on Ring<br />

Road, is in memory of Dasmesh Pita, who shot an arrow from· ~~i~<br />

place that went straight to Red Fort, Delhi, at a distance ofmore tha,n<br />

10 kilometers from this spot, and struck the bed of Bahadur Shah, the<br />

Emperor. Guru Ji later told and emphasized to him that the, same was<br />

not a miracle but a skill or physical power that enabled such: a<br />

9. Gurdwara Mata Sundri: At this place Mata Sundar Kaur<br />

(More popularly known as Mata Sundri) and Mata Sahib Kaur (Sahib<br />

Devan) spent about forty years oftheir lives, together when Dasm~sh<br />

Pita sent them here escorted by Bhai Mani Singh Ji. He himself<br />

proceeded to South where his physical body succumbed to the' atdck<br />

of the assailants. The mothers guided the Panth, helped Bhai Mani<br />

Singh in the collection and compilation of the bani of Guru Sahib.<br />

They even helped in solving the conflicts between Tat Khalsa. and<br />

Bandai Khalsa, those erupted and spread like a fire and engulfed the<br />

entire Panth soon after its creation. -<br />

A large women's college affiliated to Delhi University is<br />

functioning at this place since last many years. Besides a <strong>Gurmat</strong><br />

College has also been started by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara<br />

Management Committee to spread the education and training of<br />

the study of Guru Granth Sahib in the aspirant Gursikhs,<br />

irrespective of their age. Certificates and diplomas on 't~e<br />

successful completion ofthe courses are also being issued.<br />

10. Gurdwara Baba Banda Bahadur: This Gurdwara is<br />

situated at Mehrauli, New Delhi, about one and a halfkilometer away<br />

from Qutab Minar. This Gurdwara marks the site ofthe martyrd~m of<br />

Banda Singh Bahadur.<br />
