accept the services, loans, grants-in-aid and other assistance
from the Federal, State, County, or other
unit of local government, regional organization and
public as well as private organizations.
The membership of the Commission shall consist
of the following to be appointed annually: two members
by the moderator, two members by the Board of
Selectmen, one member by the Planning Board, one
member by the Zoning Board of Adjustment, one
member by the Municipal Budget Committee. Commission
membership shall also include the Chairman
of the Board of Selectmen, the Chairman of the Precinct
Commissioners, the Town Manager, the Executive
Secretary of the Hampton Chamber of Commerce,
the Executive Director of the N. H. Seacoast
Regional Development Association, and the Chairman
of the Hampton Municipal Development Authority.
Said Commission shall hold an organization meeting
annually within thirty days following the Annual
Town Meeting and shall adopt by-laws and establish
other administrative regulation necessary for
the furtherance of the purposes of the Commission.
ARTICLE 33. On petition of Kenneth W. Malcolm
and 10 other legal voters of the Town of Hampton
to see if the Town of Hampton will vote to raise
and appropriate the sum of $120,000.00 over a two
year period, for the purpose of obtaining land and
constructing a Community Center for the use of the
Residents of the Town of Hampton.
The purpose of this
Community center would be
for the year round use of the residents for their social
and recreational life of all age groups. This
center would also fill the need for a Town Hall and
