• £5.4million of efficiencies and service cuts implemented to produce a
balanced budget for 2012/13, which is on top of the cuts implemented
in 2011/12 of £10m

This plan should be looked at in conjunction with the Council’s three
Departmental Plans, individual service plans and other plans that together
form part of the Council’s overall Service Planning Arrangements.
The Council’s service planning framework is based on having a clear set of
outcomes that the Council is working towards achieving. For each outcome
the department has identified: -
• a number of actions, which when completed, will help to achieve the
outcome;
• performance indicators as the basis for making and measuring
progress towards achieving the outcome;
• the significant risks that could affect progress towards its achievement.
