Performance and Risk Monitoring and Reporting
• Monitoring and Reporting
The action plan detailing how the Council will meet its main priorities for
the forthcoming year will be monitored constantly, and regularly reported to
Senior Officers and Councillors to update them on progress and highlight
any key areas of achievement and concern.
Throughout the year, in certain circumstances, it may become necessary
to either remove or amend an outcome or specific action from the annual
plan. This could be for a number of reasons, such as changing priorities or
a delay in implementing a particular scheme through unforeseen
circumstances. Any amendments to the plan will only be made with full
agreement of the Corporate Management Team and Cabinet.
The Council has a responsibility to put in place proper arrangements to
manage risks and maintain a sound system of internal control – the
Council does this through its risk management framework. The Council
seeks to reduce the impact and likelihood of risks that will impact on the
achievement of the outcomes being sought by the Council in this plan.
