Engaging Students through Simulations
directed the students to be aware of using those skills in their seminars.
This change was introduced in light of student feedback from the first year
of running the simulation. It is also noticeable, as in the initial year of the
module, that academic ability does not necessarily translate into high
proficiency in using interpersonal and practical skills. Overall, the students
in both years we have run the simulation have praised the module highly
and have expressed a desire to see more of these kinds of courses in their
degree programmes.
